Contact the Free Water Damage Line

This line is phone only. There are no forms to fill in and no inbox to wait on. Call any hour and your call goes to an independent, locally owned restoration company.

Call (832) 662-4107

One number for greater Houston water damage, flood and mold problems, picked up by an automated assistant at every hour of every day.

Tell the assistant what happened, whether water is still coming in, and roughly where you are. The call is then transferred to an independent, locally owned water damage restoration company, and that company gets a brief recap of your call before it comes on the line. If it cannot answer, your name, callback number, area and problem are passed along so it can call you back.

Gas smell?

Leave the house first. From outside, call 911 and then your gas utility; CenterPoint Energy's gas leak line is 713-659-2111 or 888-876-5786. Do not flip switches on the way out.

Water near electricity?

Stay out of standing water near outlets, cords or appliances. Use the breaker only if you can reach the panel from a dry floor; otherwise call your electric utility (CenterPoint Energy serves much of greater Houston; its outage line is 713-207-2222) or an electrician.

Water still running?

Close the main water shutoff if it is safe to reach, then take photos and video of the damage for your insurer before anything is moved.

What this page is not

This is not a form, a booking page or a quote request. The line does not schedule visits or give prices. Those come from the restoration company you speak with. For anything about your policy, contact your insurer directly; the insurance guide lists the questions to ask.

Common questions

Can I email or message the line instead of calling?

No. The line is phone only on purpose: water damage gets worse by the hour, and a call can be transferred to a restoration company right away. There is no contact form and no public email address.

What hours is the line open?

All hours. An automated assistant picks up around the clock, holidays and storm days included.

Can I visit an office?

No. The line does not have a public office or address. The restoration company you are connected with comes to your property to inspect.
